“An Extraordinary Land” – Discoveries and Mysteries From Wild New Zealand. An evening with Peter Hayden and Rod Morris.

The arts of photography and writing were celebrated by the Caselberg Trust in Portobello on July 6, when photographer Rod Morris and writer/actor Peter Hayden spoke on their new book, An Extraordinary Land.

Their words and Rod’s amazing images reminded their appreciative audience that if we want to enjoy our truly extraordinary wild-life, we need more than just the efforts of dedicated conservation workers: we also need the enthusiasm and energies of our young people, such as the students of Macandrew Bay School who feature in the pages of the book.

The Trust thanks Peter and Rod, and congratulates them on their beautiful book, and we also want to thank Graham McArthur of The Video Factory, for contributing the sound system and visuals that were so important to their conservation message.
