During the Creative Connections Residency this year, Becky Cameron was often accompanied by film-maker Tracy Jones.
Tracy learnt classical piano through to ATCL level, then attended Nelson School of Music’s Contemporary course and in later years technical learnings at Otago University were necessary. This took her on a journey – creating music to film.
Jones says of herself:
“My innate empathy and perceptive ‘eye’ allows me to capture the essence of my subject. I have had success applying this to promote business, artists exhibitions and document interesting events .
In this increasingly cold, online world I bring the human elements of feeling and emotion back to my projects. Often it is that personal touch, attention to detail and building relationships with clients/artists that is also important .
