A productive residency
New York Master Printmaker Dan Welden enjoyed a very full, productive and exciting time in February as the Caselberg Trust’s 2024 InPrint Resident. As well as completing a substantial body of work while in residence, Dan also led printmaking workshops in Dunedin and Wellington, held an ‘open-studio’ for established printmakers at the Charles Brasch Studio at the Caselberg House, made himself available for a Q&A after the showing of a film about his work “Lasting Impressions” at the Dunedin Public Art Gallery and had a wonderful visit to the printmaking studio at the Eastern Southland Gallery in Gore.
Thanks to all those who took part and facilitated this very full residency programme especially Lynn Taylor and the School of Art at Otago Polytechnic, Pamela Harris in Wellington, Dunedin Public Art Gallery and Marcella and Jim Geddes at the Eastern Southland Gallery.
As part of the residency the Caselberg Trust now has a series of works by Dan Welden for sale.
