Becky Cameron begins her 2016 Creative Connections Residency

The 2016 Caselberg Creative Connections residency got underway during April, with artist Becky Cameron moving into the house for the next 3 months.  Becky is undertaking a project based on Hereweka Harbour Cone.  Exploring the factors that have shaped the area in the past,  and that continue to shape it – the geology, the natural history,  the people.   She will be sourcing materials from the area to make drawings and ceramics.  In these first few weeks of the residency Becky has been experimenting with local clays, and making paper from thistles and other weeds.
