Tomorrow Was Another Day was a short dance performance that was the culmination of choreographer Lucy Marinkovich’s 2021 Caselberg Trust Creative Connections Residency in Broad Bay, Ōtepoti/Dunedin. Inspired by the gracefulness and fierce independence of the toroa of the Otago Peninsula, and the daring spirit of early modern dance pioneers Loïe Fuller and Isadora Duncan, this piece explores freedom of movement and self-expression as exemplified by wandering seabirds.

Borderline Arts Ensemble’s Lucy Marinkovich was joined by company Co-Director and Musician/Composer Lucien Johnson, in their first collaboration with renowned Lighting Designer Martyn Roberts (After Burner / University of Otago).
