We’ve had a number of residents stay at Caselberg House over the last few months.
Writer, editor and manuscript assessor, Michelle Elvy had a wonderful week of “calm concentration” at the Caselberg House in July capped off by an intimate reading of some of her work facilitated by Claire Beynon and generously hosted by Bellamy’s Gallery in Macandrew Bay. Manu Berry and Prof Rachel Zajac also discussed the exciting joint project they are working on together with Michelle under the Dunedin City of Literature Art + Science: Memory and Mind project.
Tim Saunders from the Manawatu also enjoyed a productive week at the Caselberg House in July awarded as part of his prize as joint winner of 2023 Caselberg International Poetry Prize competition.
Tim was closely followed by Otepoti Dunedin writer Sophia Wilson in August who took up a self-funded residency in August and fully enjoyed and appreciated the opportunity to take time out of everyday life to concentrate on writing.
