A flying visit to Dunedin in May saw Glenn Colquhoun fit in both a Poetry Reading at the Dunedin Library and a Writing Workshop at the Artworkshop Studio in Broad Bay. It was a really great weekend. Well over 100 people attended the Poetry Reading in the Library. An enthusiastic crowd were wowed by Glenn’s charisma and his wonderful way with words. The library space was overflowing, with extra chairs being brought in at the last minute to seat the larger than expected crowd. Ever heard of a poet giving an encore! The Caselberg Trust would like to acknowledge and thank Lynette Hartgill, Dunedin Library Marketing Manager and her team for the wonderful enthusiasm and support they gave to this event.

The following day saw Glenn present a stunning Writing Workshop. The Artworkshop studio was full to the brim with the 14 writers who had secured a place, a number of whom had travelled in from Central Otago. It was a day of serious and not so serious literary endeavour with a real sense of sharing and enrichment. Glenn’s teaching was both sensitive and empowering and left us feeling a real urge to speak our own truths with our own particular voice.

Glenn had been one of the Caselberg Nine Artists in Fiordland Residency aboard the Breaksea Girl, 2007.
