Elizabeth Brooke Carr Emerging Writer Residency

We're delighted to announce the Elizabeth Brooke Carr Emerging Writer resident for 2025 will be Toni Wi.

Toni Wi (Ngāti Maniapoto) is a speculative fiction writer and policy analyst based in Wellington. She is one of six writers in the 2024 cohort of Te Papa Tupu, where she is working on a science fiction novel. Her short fiction has been published in Headland, Huia Short Stories 15, Takahē, Mayhem, and Flash Frontier.
